Reel Mix perform at Letterfrack Sea Week. Chelsea Kane, Emma O'Sullivan, Amy Coyne and Niamh Mac Dermot perform their unique mix of all the different irish dance styles. Old style to modern step, barrell and brush dance, battering steps, sean nos. Musicians providing the music are don stiff, marcus hernan, johnny connolly, proinsious, brendain and leabhras hernan. All dancers are from Connemara and are multi talented with musical, dramatic and singing abilities!! here they perform their dance "Mind the Dresser!!!"

  • Whats the difference between sean-nos dance and 'battering'? My Dad used to do battering but I cant remember it, too young.

    I'm happy 2c that in Eire you mix the different styles. In foreign countries most groups dance the modern (=Flatley?) style, some groups do Set Dance & a few ceili and the whole irish dancing is a sort of "religious" :-(

  • the girls in the white doing the more modern style of irish dancing, are very crossed over! - beautiufl to watch.

    both styles are great! and esp when mixed! looks like a lot of fun!
