@dumblecore At least we show the initiative to learn a different language. So the simple fact that we try to comunicate in your own mother-language, it's something that english people should be proud and not mock about. I always try to help those who make an effort to speak portuguese. I know 4 languages and I don't rank them in terms of importance, it's cultural enrichment. I live in Italy so right now italian is more relevant to me than english. See how subjective importance is? Farewell

english people don't need to speak portugese unless they want to live/work in a portugese-speaking country.

and english is the most important language in the western world so it's more important to be able to speak than portugese
