No it's done in the US and actually has good data behind it. I know there are hospitals in Florida that do it and ours is currently developing a protocol

Great video. Just had a C diff outbreatk in my hospital and 2 toxic megacolons in the SICU. I fear C diff more than I do MRSA and the other resistant bugs. Very timely!

Word! I've seen SO much of this in the hospital. Recently I had a super nice, younger patient who ultimately died of it in the ICU. And the dude who did some of the camera work on this video had a close loved one who lost his colon to c. diff. It sucks!!

Ugh, I got C Diff last year after my small intestines ruptured. Several months in the hospital plus high doses of, like, every antibiotic there is (after the rupture, I had sepsis, and a million other things--kept the poor infection doctor at the ICU on his toes!). It sucked, and I felt bad that my visitors had to gown up whenever they came, but on the plus side, I never had to share a room! They'd look on my chart and see "C-Diff" (and eventually MRSA) and give me the private room.

hey zdogg, im starting my freshman year of college as a nursing major, but also am getting pre med courses out of the way. I am doing nursing to get clinical experiance in the field and as a backup plan, do u recomend this? or will this major turn the admissions commitee off?
