My little brother is 10 years old, autistic, and has never said a word. but he can remember the positions of almost everything in the house and can operate vcr's and tv's. I think the reason some autistic people have very special talents is because a regular mind's priorities are divided, while an autistic mind blocks out certain aspects of those of a regular mind. So maybe Stephen's verbal communication skills were limited, causing his recognition of landmarks and places to be superior

Really great work

@ThieviusRaccoon Yes, he is a savant.

Is this man some kind of savant?

My autistic daughter and I visited his gallery this summer, and bought the New York Taxi print shown at 1:20. AMAZING detail!

Well done fella. A true artist and a real nice guy.

i am glad that you recognize "GOD/EVOLUTION" as the causae (efficientes/finalis). Also top down/bottom up is a good way to interpret his gift, but still it is a MIRACLE.
i saw the channel 5 documentary, this guy is a genius and fully deserves all the credit that is due

I just saw it - "Extraordinary People: The Human Camera" on UK's Channel Five. The term "inspiring" is frequently overused, but it's totally appropriate in this case. He truly deserves his MBE. An incredible and uniquely talented individual.
