Almost every problem in western society spurs from the fact that consumer products are cheap, easy and disposable. Nothing holds value. Nothing.

I love this film.Note the delightful lack of plastic and computers during the construction,back in the days when it took real skill to manufacture things.The whole thing as seen in manufacture is built to last.It's a shame it's all been destroyed.Quality items are a thing of the past,we now live in a disposable world where nothing lasts longer than the warranty,forcing yet another purchase of shite from the other side of the world!! One day we'll see the madness in it and decide we've had enough

do you not feel that part of the problem is that transport is run by people who don;t use it. here in ireland our transoprt system is still in public hands but the people in charge if it never use it .they would make changes without knowning what it would be like for the passengers effected by those changes and never bother to find out . privatisation is a bad thing but in ireland the other side is'nt any better . we need a system run by people who use it & know what it;s like
