ive had a conversion van up to 115. it couldnt go no faster. That Envoy's rather stable at 110 though. You can do quick lane changes and the thing doesnt body roll.

what year did they start putting on the governor? My '99 original hits over 135 (too scared to go faster) without a hitch, tho i can't rev the engine in park too hard, it automatically cuts it back- wonder if it's modified, i bought it used, LOVE the car, love the autostick.

i think they started slappin governors on around 2001,2002. It also depends on who owned the car. Some folks want to see what the vehicle can do,there for,disable the governor. What you're talkin bout in park is the rev limiter. Keeps you from blowing the motor up in park if you accidently slap the gas pedal to the floor while searching for money in your back pocket.
