If you live an active life when you are younger, it is wise to plan a few things you can do when you get older and not so active.

  • U got a great smile :)!

  • That is very sweet of you to say that. Thanks!

  • ALL I KNOW IS MY RIGHT KNEE SOUNDS LIKE VELCRO WHEN I BEND IT. THAT CANT BE GOOD RIGHT? AND MY MOM HAS A SERIOUS CASE OF EMPHASEMA. SHE WAS ON 3 YEAR WAITING LIST FOR HER CONDO BECAUSE IT HAS ELEVATOR. FUN TIMES! opps didnt mean to shout :P

  • Oh yes the dreaded Velcro knee. I hate that!

  • I hear ya. My dad is 81 and is depressed over all the things he can do which just 4 years ago he could. I am 42 and am taking up crafting. My friend is going to teach me how to sew. My confidence is not hi but I am going to do it. maybe I could actually make some $ at it.

  • Wow 81! It is amazing how long we get these days. I can only hope to make it that far. If what you want to do requires a lot of learning, this is the time to get that in. It gets much harder to learn as you get older.

  • No sabot, on the contrary, scientific research supports that learning becomes more efficient in later life. My cognitive abilities have deepened and improved dramatically. All of life's experiences come into play and people's motives become transparent, so barring injury or illness (God forbid) you'll be pleasantly suprised, I think. I would never want to be 30 again. The most vital, alive and youthful people I know are 70+.

  • You are very wise sabot. It's tough to watch our parents grow older, isn't it? My Dad is 80- similarly to your Dad he's had physically demanding jobs. It's hard to convince him to take it easy, to pause now and then. It sounds as if you put a fair amount of thought into your life.

I'll be 50 in December, because of several accidents (when I try to be athletic I get hurt!!), arthritis has set in. I've taken up snowshoeing, walking, and lost some weight.

  • Well I once collected stamps when I was about 7-10 years old. I guess I could look into this again in the near future. Damn it, I wished I had never binned my stamp book now :o)

  • 3 years ago I was hiking and broke my ankle, 2 yrs ago I broke my knee riding a motorcycle, last year broke my shoulder bike riding. this year my bones are starting to feel like an old man everytime it rains. lol. Once you hit your 30's we don't bounce back as quick. sucks going from a risk-taker to worrying about what I might break next. lol

  • Now why didn't you tell us all that in this video? What kind of robots? (battle or functional?)
