hiragana=one of the 2 phonetic Japanese alphabets

ichigo = strawberry

anko=red azuki bean paste

unko=poop!

~ ga suki desu. = I like ~.

dai = big

fuku = luck (But to say "good luck", say GANBATTE! Which does not really mean "good luck" but is used in the same way.)

oishii=delicious
umai=cool way to say delcious
yapai=dangerous, as in --- "this is so delicious that it is dangerous"

  • that treat looked very appealing and tasty, but when you mentioned that it had 'bean paste' i started to not really go for the idea...

    but i would have to put that to the test if i ever have a chance to taste it.

    yay! learned a new word 'unko' ; pretty sure i'll be using that one !

  • I LOVE manju! Asian sweets in general. I used to hate anko, but I'm sort of addicted to them now. Ha~

    Those sweets from the O-hina matsuri look BEAUTIFUL. (Almost too pretty to eat..)
