  • hi what king of filter did you use (is it necceserly )

do you have to add air pump (is it necceserly )

is the water from the sea (i know that it must be seawater but you can even make your own by mixing some nutrents with water and get sea water but i want to know what method did you use)

  • @badpaulnadur I use a Fluval FX5 Filter... One that big is not necessary, but you will need a good filter. And yes you need an are pump.

The water was just tap water. I added the correct amount of salt to it, and then i added live gravel, and live rock. After a while i added the clown fish and let him stay in the tank by him self for a while before i slowly started to add other marine life. you ahve to be very patient in the begining. I recommend you do A LOT of readding before you start.

  • Im looking to buy a SF eel(5-7inchs) and I'm sure my other fish would be fine in the tank with one but I would like to know if he was well feed would there be a good chance he would attack my lawnmower blenny( because he's lays on the ground and the eel hunts at night) and my horseshoe crab. I know the SF's love crustaceans but the horseshoe crab doesn't look like an easy meal. Any help would be great.

  • @GMperformanceOWNER Yea, id be really nervous to add a snowflake in there. The horsehoe crab MIGHT be ok becasue of its shell, but the eels will have NO problem flipping it over if it wants to. And of course, like you said, crustaceans are eels favssss. The lawnmower blenny will probably be food, but u might get lucky.... FYI, snowflakes grow VERY fast. You may get it at 5 inches, but in a few months it will be a foot, and still be growing.... be VERY careful if you put one in your tank!

  • could this live with a peacock mantis shrinp?

  • @evand848 No sir

  • @JoshBlaze9 1, dont use tap water, u need to use reverse osmosis water and then add required salt, 2, u dont need an air pump on a salt water.

  • Yea I understand that they grow fast but I have no problem raising it until it time for a new owner. And I was thinking the same thing about flipping the crab. Ill think about it and if I find one at a good price I'll get it. Thanks for the help

  • @JoshBlaze9 Alright thanks man!!! I appreciate it!

  • @AugustousKing Well the snowflakes will eat pretty much anything that it can. I keep mine WELL fed and all my fish are pretty big so i dont have any problems at all. Just remember when you go to buy your eel (or just about any fish), they get big REAL QUICK!!! Good luck
