  • @TVLASUNOR We do not know where our instrument was built, but our conductor tells me that there has been a liutist in Milan called Monzino (1890). There are only few insturments around: one is at the Orchestra of Asti and two are played by the orchestra in Siena; those were built by Vizzari (1932). The instrument is tuned EADG, but one octave lower than the bass guitar. We do not know any liutist that is producing the instrument nowadays. Best regards. OML

  • @TVLASUNOR Hallo! Yes this is a "Chitarrone" (big guitar) and tuned like a bass guitar: E, A, D, G. We are the only orchestra playing this instrument in Switzerland. It is a gift from Maestro Bruno Amaducci (symphonic orchestra conductor) to our conductor Mauro Pacchin. See the picture in our homepage.

  • we use mostly Thomastik strings

  • veramente siete molto bravi tutti. bellissima esecuzione saluti da Ischia

  • Serenata gaia; the composer is Raffaele Calace
