i totally agree with u on the ending i felt personally offended that they made that the ending and i was in no way directly involved in that tragic event and if it bothered me that much i can just imagine and feel bad for the people who go in to watch that movie who are directly involved

I agree with every word you said on the ending. I was sort of okay with seeing the movie before I found out about the ending and what what a cheap shot it was. The fact they used that particular plot device as some sort of way to get you to care about the characters makes me sick to my stomach as well.

Yes, I didn't like being forced to equate a very emotional tragedy with a character who was acted like a jerk a great deal of the movie to people around him. It's not like he was angelic, he barely got back to a happy place before the end of the film.

Apparently the point wasn't very obvious to some. The point of the ending was not to manipulate your feelings but to step into the life of one of the thousands of people who died that day and tell one of the many stories.The writer wrote it with that in mind, he didn't just tack in on the end for good measure.

The ending comes out of no where because it came out of no where that day. It has you experience what the characters are experiencing. It happened 10 years ago, not 10 months ago.

It's so lame to hear all over again that Pattinson is only good for young girls and desperate housewives.. Seriously.. If you want creativity in a movie you should maybe begin with giving creative reviews?

I hated this film! Tyler and Ally are bratty, selfish bitches! Why was Ally mad at her dad for her mom's murder?! He wasn't there, he didn't kill her mom! Thank GOD I read about this on wikipedia, heard it on Spill.com. I rented it for $1 just to see how it was! At least I spent a dollar instead of $5, $8, or $11! I agree with everything you've said!

I ended uo watching this film on an airplane. Imagine how awful that must have been. This ending offended me personally. It was as if though the film was trying to trade tragedfy for emotion, and besides brutally overwhelming itself, it was very offensive and upsetting. It is ridiculous that any director would use something like this to conclude a movie, and that a screenwriter would send the audience such a brutal slap in the face.

Them being bratty and mouthy was part of the story. They were both somewhat selfish. The fact that Tyler isn't very likable made the film a little more realistic.
