Man, we barely saw Mouzone in the series. People talked about him like he was Omar Little and the writers only put him in two stories: protecting the towers and getting revenge.
-
Notice the sigh of relief on Avon's face when Mouzune was implying for Stringer's head. It is what it is. But Avon was driven to make amends with his sister for the death of D'Angelo. Even though D'Angelo was the one who ended up losing his mind. He was their weakest link. And Stringer did the right thing by taking him out. He should've taken out Avon and joined forces with Marlo and Prop Joe. Avon was nothing but a street corner delinquent who was trapped in the 5th grade.

Avon has some big fucking hands...
-
Avon was Avon....true to the code he made his loyalties...same with Stringer...the politics each played netted the returns...
the "game" is filthy...nothing pleasant about it
-
@kandinskyforfootball dont forget though that stringer gave colvin the safe house where avon was so he betrayed avon too
-
if Avon was only concerned with this --- that is what he would have done..
but he was already coming to the conclusion that String was not playing the same game as him --- this was the revelation of one more betrayal of him by String.
-
why didn't avon just get mouzone so nobody could cut off his NY connection. instead he gave up String like it weren't no thing...i expected avon to be stronger than this. at this point he didn't know string was turning him into bunny yet
-
Brother Mouzone was the worst charecter in the wire. He just didn´t fit in with the rest of the characters and show

@yangdax Life's too short to replace a friend like stringer. Avon knew stringer longer than he knew d'angelo. You can't guarantee to regain another 20 yrs of friendship with someone else. Arguably, relatives are just as untrustworthy and capable of betrayal as friends. Some people have friends that are closer to them than their relatives.
