You know, "meme" is not just Internet slang, there is an actual science called memetics, studying the evolutionary mechanisms of culture. Ideas that are useful or pleasant get spread around, in turn being more exposed to them makes us like them more, further strenghtening them, until they stop being fun or a better one comes up.

The Finnish full version definitely has proper lyrics - however this is only the 2nd part of the fifth stanza, and then the full 6th stanza - which are as you say just jibberish since this is an a capella folk song
