I think these myths come from highly religious super powers that spread the rumours... You never see a myth like ''Masturbation causes superior intellect.'' Nothing wrong with it, end of.

Masurbation does cause weight gain for me. After an ejaculation I become extremely hungry and eat even if I just ate. Hence weight gain. I suspect some hunger hormone is released that causes this urge to eat. I asked my friends about this and none of them agreed. So I guess this is true for some people but a myth for most of the population.
