Floyd Pepper and Zoot perform an instrumental version of Honeysuckle Rose as the UK Spot on episode 314 of The Muppet Show. During the performance, a bee bothers Zoot and gets into his saxophone. He eventually swallows, and then spits back out the bee.

This jazz standard has been recorded by many artists and bands, including Fats Waller, Benny Goodman, Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong. In 1978 it was included in the musical revue Ain't Misbehavin'.
