And in february or march, 2011 i'll buy an ASUS G74 or MSI GX780 because i want an updated machine for games. Anyways i'll never buy an HP you only pay for the brand but the quality i shitty. Best notebooks are DELL, ACER, ASUS, MSI and i think LENOVO too.

Hi there people! I can agree with @banjerboefify because i have an Acer Aspire 5100 laptop which is 6yrs old now and i still play on it games (not in hd but it's fine) and it's working. I have only one problem: the battery, because it lasts only 40min. max but that's from a 6 yrs old battery is pretty good i think. So with this i want to say that Acer is good and not bullshit cause i've seen many 2yrs old HP laptops die (dead motherboard). So what all the people are talking about?

It's not acer, it's Nvidia guys, their 7 and 8 series have overheating problems which causes dry solders. It's the same problem on all the laptops that have those GPUs (Packard Bell, HP, Dell, ...).

acer sucks same things happened 2 my acer aspire 5920g

I completely agree with Xegos
I have had my laptop and my 2 friends who bought the same laptop have the same problems, mine was worse than theirs but I opened them all up and there was a super thick layer of very fine dust build-up and then the thermal paste under the graphic card had been evaporated(Acer uses cheap crap) so I re-pasted it with Silver thermalpaste like how Xegos said. Its a little tricky to take the panel off so use a little moving to the left and right when doing the small part

Kalispera petro. Sou lithike telika kapos to provlima me to laptop? Exo akrivos to idio laptop kai i othoni eno leitourgoun ola ta alla kanonika den leitourgei. Paramenei kapos skotini. An eixes kapoia lysi pes mou se parakalo.
stop saying acer is cheap crap. i have the same laptop as shown in this video for over four years, and it is still working fine (even the power adapter, where people are complaining about). if you use your acer laptop normally and instal windows 7 over windows vista (make sure to delete vista, not upgrade) and reinstal the touchpad and graphics drivers, and you will be fine.

@banjerboefify The thing is that in order to install windows 7 first of all the laptop must turn ON!
that it is NOT happening as it saws to the video.
