Interview with Mountlake Terrace High School senior Owen Fritz

Although his main sport is football, Owen Fritz is also a much-improved thrower on the Mountlake Terrace High School track and field team. Fritz, a senior, joined the Hawks track team during his sophomore year. He throws the shot put and the discus, and hopes to break the school record in the latter event this season. In this interview, recorded on March 12, 2011, Fritz explains why he enjoys throwing the discus, the technique and footwork required to succeed in the sport, and how the skills he honed in track helped him on the football field.
