i love you pizza pie/poem

A POEM ABOUT PIZZA ADDICTION
i love you pizza pie

don't know exactly why

but eating you makes my emotions fly

your juice and taste and spice gets me high

this is not a metaphor

your flavor makes me crave for more

you are my secret pleasure i swear

you are the best with a stein of beer

i don't mind tomato sauce on my face

or dripping grease all over the place

eating you is like heaven to me

it numbs my mind to what others see

i don't think about the money you cost

or the weight gain never lost

you plug my arteries with grease and sauce

but while eating you, sense and judgment is lost

i finish only when i am so full

that i loosen my belt from a bloated pull

i then pause and the world is numb to me

i might sit there forever but i get up to pee

then a reality sets in

about what i have done

and what i had become

and then i am sad

about what i just did and had

i think about never being thin

about loosing a game i must win

i think about the reasons why

and i fear that the pie will make me die

fresh air seems to bring me around

freeing my mind as i come back down

the experience leaves my mind without a scar

as i addict to a good cigar
