yesterday at skyway, video cam run out of memory and stopped at 175 kph, but hit 195kph.

I believe the new 2.2L diesel R-line will be faster than this, isn't it? I have the new one. Good acceleration. I can overtake other cars effortlessly. A bit of pedal press, there the power surging. Faster than my 3.0L patrol..

Might consider taking a video sometime to show the power of the new R-line engine.

oh cool. but i think in this video the santa fe still has the 2.2D engine of a jag X-type. :) pretty good though that they have a research facility now

hyundai uses mitsubishi and jaguar engines for their diesels... :)

i thin its the 2.0 CRD .. i have a 2.7 santafe and it runs faster than this pretty much .. i reach 200kmh easily ..

I bought a Santa Fe 4x4, Model 2008 for my wife. I tested the Max Speed of 212km/h in Carmen, North Cotabato where the road is 32km straight. I used to take videos when I'm speeding up but not for this speed. Though the steering wheel was so steady and stable, I had to hold it with my 2 hands for safety as people and animals are prone to cross the highway unexpectedly. But overall, the performance is exceptional.

i reckon sta fe could go a little beyond 200. i have a tucson crdi reach 185 sa skyway racing a dmax.. may uusad pa. binatukan lang ako ng kasama ko lol. people should also consider that this is just a 2.2 liter diesel before sayin it is slow.

considering also that the 3 liter crdi of the hyundai veracruz would keep up with a common rail bmw x5. hyundai diesel is impressive!
