  • raise ur own egg producing hen and by the way this particular breed is not consumed as a norm for meat production industry

  • I have a little 2 week old hand reared chick. We rescued her form an incubator at school, she was being pecked so badly that she couldn't stand up or defend herself. At the moment shes living in a guinea pig run in our kitchen and free ranging in our garden. Im sure she would like a little friend in the future and I was wondering if any experts thought that an ex battery hen would be a good idea? Any advice much appreciated!

  • this chickens lay eggs they have lived in cages

for most of there life they are not made for meat

u should of said dont bye cheep eggs bye free rang eggs. people need meat to get protean so get ur info right be for posting this tip of info thank u

  • no just down to battery farming with no animal farming

you wouldnt just have no meat

    but no milk

    or cheese

    etc

  • i thought farming was good i wanted to get a couple horses, dogs and mabe 2 goats at the most but i also know thats alot o money and work.

  • well YES down with all farming...... but there really is no problem with someone rescuing hens or just having a few in their garden(providing they are properly cared for)

  • Really? Do you raise free range? I do. I care for my chickens every day. There like my pets, and I think I treat them very well. There are 12 of them spread out between two coops, each a good ten square feet with over twenty feet of ranging area outdoors.

  • No, down to both, Free range just mean loads of hens in a small spot with a little door. Either way its alllll bad.

  • Please don't bye any meat!

Don't eat meat, you can eat plants.

    Stop this cruelty to animals!

  • No, no... Down to all battery farming. Up to all free range.
