Click here for more behind the scenes info and/or insight and http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/greengtrs is the link to my current eBay auctions if you are interested...send me a message (through my channel page link...just click on my name or avatar) if you have any questions or if I can be of any help.

This video is of an Ibanez ART100 guitar which is a really nice, inexpensive set-neck Les Paul style guitar...it totally blows most of the competition away...you would have to spend $(hundreds) more on a comparable Epiphone or PRS Single Cut SE and the pickups actually sound pretty good for stock...lots of tonal variations at different volume levels...especially when using both pickups at the same time. The bridge and tailpiece are way nicer than what comes stock on either of the previously mentioned guitars. The body contouring is great and reminds me of a Brian Moore. It's solid Mahogany with a Mahogany neck and a Rosewood fingerboard. Nice simple inlay/trim work (to keep the cost down I'm sure) but it winds up looking great! Well balanced...not too heavy (this one came in at 7.4 lbs.). I highly recommend these for the money...give it some really nice replacement pickups (and pots/switches...) and you have a real workhorse guitar for next to nothing...as long as you don't mind supporting Communist China and the whole human rights violation issue that goes along with sending your money overseas.

I sell lots of used guitars and basses (both here and on eBay...same name there...100% positive feedback) and I'm a dealer for the Mbrace stands (still $60.00 including USPS Priority mail service for the US, $80 for Canada or Mexico and $85.00 for the rest of the world) and also Thomastik-Infeld strings. Let me know if there is something you want/write me if you're interested...again, use the send a message link on my channel page.

The guitar is plugged straight into my same old rig (no effects at all)...a Fender Super Sonic combo with an Avatar 2x12 all loaded with 12" Hellatone 30's and the video recording was done with a JVC GR-D850 miniDV Camcorder using the built in microphone (which I occasionally block by standing in between the amp and the camera effectively killing most of the highs...so sorry in advance).

If you like what you hear, or are interested in any of my current or future used guitar offerings, subscribe...you'll get a heads up on any guitar that I'll be listing for sale on eBay (or here) as I post a video here first.

Thanks again for watching!

  • I have the same guitar. Does the guitar cable to the amp really make a difference to the sound?

  • @MikeBlaze901 Thanks!

  • @voidshirt Squiers can vary so I don't know what yours feels like, but these are relatively thin (something that Ibanez is kind of known for...some are ultra thin).

  • @greengtrs Yeah, I was looking to make a small upgrade from a Squier that I've owned for way too long, but would be really disappointed if the Ibanez neck turned out to be significantly thicker. It seems like the Art is worth trying out, though. Thanks for replying so quickly

  • @voidshirt That's like asking how an apple compares to an orange...they are totally different...try them both and see what is most comfortable to you...the Ibanez is a better made guitar though (no offense to anyone who would choose the Squier).

  • This seems like a really promising guitar, considering its price. How do the neck dimensions compare to an Affinity Squier Strat?
