I suppose it did ok for a car whose design has it's roots in the late 1960s (since the 2105 and 2107 have their roots going back to the 2101 which was a license built Fiat 124), but man, I really would not want to be in a crash in something like that, but wow, the B Pillar (the middle of the car) really got bent around. VAZ Should really look at redesigning the frame, make it less susceptible to folding at these types of forces. A small job like that could possibly make the car a bit more safe.
