From her new album Laws of Illusion. Originally by Susan Enan.

Lyrics-

I can't see the stars anymore living here
Let's go to the hills where the outlines are clear

Bring on the wonder
Bring on the song
I pushed you down deep in my soul for too long

I fell through the cracks at the end of our street
Let's go to the beach, get the sand through our feet

Bring on the wonder
Bring on the song
I pushed you down deep in my soul for too long

Bring on the wonder
We got it all wrong
We pushed you down deep in our souls for too long

I don't have the time for a drink from the cup
Let's rest for a while 'til our souls catch us up

Bring on the wonder
Bring on the song I pushed you down deep in my soul for too long
Bring on the wonder
We got it all wrong
We pushed you down deep in our souls, so hang on
Bring on the wonder
Bring on the song
I pushed you down deep in my soul for too long

  • This song is hauntingly beautiful... The harmony/melody and lyrics are so striking that it makes it hard listen to anything else afterwards.

  • One word...amazing.

  • i died when i heard this song. no literally. i had a heart attack it was so good. <3333

  • I like the other version more. Not as much background distractions in the other version. Sometimes, simplier is better.

  • @proudmomofbug Me too! I loved the Bones version, but this is gorgeous too. Wierdly enough, I heard this version on tv too--they used it as background music last night on a show called "Private Practice."

  • not bad

  • @nerdy5746 I agree somewhat but I see both as tracks as each artists interpretation of the lyrics and soul of the song. Both are hauntingly beautiful I can't personally say one is better than the other.

  • hope she never used a vocal processor to create those harmonies cause they are amazing.

  • GREAT, Sarah McLachlan GREAT !!

  • we're waltzing to the Susan Enan version in Portland

  • one world, one people, one love!!!

  • I agree that Sarah McLachlan is talented, but she honestly ruined this song. Too many voice tracks - it sounds like a choir singing. Susan Enan wins.
