  • @100Checksa

and other great Irish cinema classics :)

  • Wow..the first movie to make me cry. When she does it, u just lose yourself & completely becme her, felt my like my heart was slowly being torn in half with my own hands.

They were just too isolated to know any better. You can really relate to both of them, Pig wanting more than friendship; Runt not. I think thats what made it so emotional for me.

I thought the ending was going to be them walking hand in hand into the ocean- they talked about it & the two babies holding hands was a big symbol

  • @MuseToYourEars

Very Clever Assumption....But I personally think that Runt's Action at the End is Symbolizing The inevitability of change....and thus those that can't adapt have do so or die......

  • @CatorsCinema Pig couldn't cope with change. He knew it. Runt knew it. It had to be done. He was transformed into a feral animal after his feelings developed into something more and was unable to be tamed thereafter. I think he acted out in violence because he knew from the start, deep down that Runt didn't feel the same way. He knew no other way. As you said, they were both isolated...I also got the feel that Runt was maturing and knew that Pig was going to hold her back if she let it continue.

  • from now its my fav movie!

  • That a gorgeous movie... I was hooked all the way through. Thank you so much for the upload.

  • Reminds me, so much of the 1968 Zepherilli version of Romeo and Julliette. All the main elements are there. What was missing in their love was moderation. The moderation of parents and others that love them too. Without the lesson of empathy, one becomes a psychopath. One who starts practicing killing small animals, then bullying then killing people. That was Devon. I am not sure he could ever properly return Sineade's love.

  • Greatest yet most tragic movie ever.Thank u CatorsCinema for putting it up here! Whenever I watch the end, I keepcrying and hiccupping and then I look like a mess...but whatever. I <3 this film to death. Why didn't I hear about before I visited Cillian's Imdb page? :(

  • I think Cillian is way too hot for this movie.

  • he has a really nice singing voice, its so clear and soothing

  • "So New" by Cillian Murphy is the 2nd song played during the credits

  • What's the song at the very end of the credits??
