Quick reference for laptop owners.. May or may not work based on your manufacturer, or some other quirk of the system, but this does for the Dell Vostro 1500, I can guarantee that... Since that is what this was done on.

But don't you dare hold me responsible if you break your computer because you thought you could be me for a second.

Thanks for all the views on this! I never thought it'd end up being an important video to anyone... Just something I did in my spare time. Cool, thanks for the support!

Wow, almost 50,000 views... :O

So obviously, this was meant to be part of my "Boredom Killed The Keyboard" video, but that video just came out way too long, PLUS I thought it might be better if I separate this, make it an actual How-To video that can be easily found rather than initiating a search through a 10 minute video to find one part, and then I would have had to cut down that video even further... Screw that. Anyway, see that video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_O6Ou56bXo

  • Okay! So the pieces that come under the key, the white things, came off with the key! They're still attached to it but the whole thing isn't attached to the keyboard! What do I do?!

  • @WarThemedRevolution Just pull the white tabs out of the key.. They should be just snapped in place and come out quite easily, just don't break off the hinge tabs.

  • Hi I am having a problem I am a gamer and somtimes in the middle of games my keyboard will stop responding like usual. For example if i hit 1 it will open up internet explorer and 2 will open microsoft word.It does not only happen with my numpad but any letter will open a program on my computer and minimize my game.Is this a problem with my laptop or my beyboard. PS this happens with my usb keyboard and the standard one on the laptop

  • @OGKpressure You run Windows 7? Windows 7 (and maybe Vista too, idk) has several hot-keys you can use to open programs.. Usually you have to hold down the Windows key at the same time though. Windows key + 1 opens the first program on your start bar (right next to your start menu), 2 starts the next, etc. If this isn't your case, then I don't know what your computer's problem could be... Keyboard software maybe?

  • @OGKpressure Windows key + E opens Windows Explorer, + D shows the desktop (minimize all programs), + R opens the Run Command...
