@t110d93 who cares for the noise, as they are hunter/killer class subs, they will be working among the other surface ships like frigates destroyers corvettes etc in attack event, so noise doesnt matter, reduced noise is only needed when the subs work alone like the ballistic missile class subs.

I think its true only in part. Were built 8 submarines, which worked more then 30 years. And btw, the fastest submarine was russian ssbn k-222 "papa" - 44,7 knots under water

I think Alfas were also one of the noisiest submarines around. They sacrificed everything for speed
