Cass and Frankie 1993--Christy Recalls the Promise Douglas Asked Her to Make...Which She Didn't

While Cass and Ryan are on the phone, John tells Christy about how he lost Sharlene, and how Frankie was the one that helped him get back on track after he shut himself off for awhile following Sharlene's loss. John is sure that Frankie will do the same thing for Christy that she did for him. The important thing, John stresses, is to keep talking. Frankie returns with a tray of tea and food then and tells Christy that she wants Christy to eat something. Christy thanks Frankie but says she just couldn't eat right now. Cass, having finished his last phone call, joins Frankie in consoling Christy. When Christy says she needs to get home because she has so many things to take care of there, Cass tells her it can wait and that Christy should let her friends take care of her. Frankie agrees with Cass, and they both tell Christy that they want her to stay with them as long as she wants. Cass hugs Christy and she clings to him as she recalls Douglas asking her to promise him that she would never see Cass again. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.
