The God of Jacob, Isaac and Abraham chooses to use PROPHECY & MIRACLES to reveal that He is the TRUE God. Even the Muslims realize that their "prophet" had no miracles and no prophecies to prove Islam.

@digitised I know muslims, sikhs, hindus and christians who all believe knowingly that their god personally interacts with them to some degree. But if their god is exclusive, then they cannot all be correct. Only one could be right, or the real god or gods are just deceivers and tricksters.

Most religions boast miracles, but like i have said, none have ever been demonstrated in controlled conditions. This is why miracle claims fail to be realistic, physical laws have never known to be broken.

@john3verse5 If i claim there is a dragon in the room, and everyone else present says that the room is definitely dragon-less, then maybe you need to evaluate your own position in light of others.

Also you need to consider that every other religion contains members who swear on their lives that their own particular god/gods has revealed themselves to them personally.

How can you account for this obvious discrepancy?

My conclusion is that humans easily fool themselves, this explains the claims.

@john3verse5 As i made clear, personal testimony, anecdotal accounts etc are worthless. You need direct observed demonstrations in controlled conditions to prevent trickery and self deception.

I personally am open to any god revealing himself to me, but none ever have.

Maybe you hallucinated, there is no way to know if you did or did not from your perspective. A good indicator of reliability is whether your experience can be shared by others.

@digitised This is the closest to me being able to show you a healing as I am not with you in person: have a look on my personal page on YouTube and see the healing testimony.

Other than that, God is not a respecter of persons, if you ask Him to manifest Himself to you and you are genuine and humble. For starters, I just told you about the scriptures offering you to receive the holy Ghost; pursue it.

Please show me clear evidence of a miracle healing, find somebody who is genuinely sick and demonstrate in controlled conditions that the power of the holy spirit can heal them.

I will refuse all anecdotes, or results obtained outside of test conditions.

@john3verse5 Well we know the old testament to be full of historically problematic stories, unless you choose crypto-archeology over scholarly type you may be surprised to hear the conclusions of israeli archeologists who have been studying the holy lands with the OT in one hand have failed to find any evidence of exodus, the battles of moses and joshua, king davids city. In fact many have declared it fictional but likely inspired by minor tribal legends.

I find this important.
