長江三峽有無數的垃圾，這些垃圾不僅嚴重破壞水質，而且威脅航運。
2003年，漁民劉古軍自行組織了一支民間清理漂流物隊，奔走于長江重慶十公里的水面上。他不顧家人的反對，六年來出錢出力，清理萬噸廢物，使他成了家喻戶曉的「清漂王」­，但租船、雇車、發工資等經濟問題，令清漂隊一再萎縮，從一百多名隊員至只剩下四、五個人。

Huge amounts of waste in the Yangtze Three Gorges have not only polluted the waters but also threatened the shipping industry. In 2003, fisherman Liu Gujun started a cleaning team among civilians to dispose of the waste that covered some 10 miles of waters in Changjiang Chongqing. Disregarding his family's opposition, for the next six years Liu devoted himself to ridding the waters of waste and became a household name. The film documents how the team eventually buckled under heavy financial pressure of wages, boat and truck rentals. Of the original 100 or so team members, only four to five remain today.
