I got a request (and yes I do vids by request if they arn't insanely time consuming) for this and thought it was a good idea. Although because I am not individually helping a person, feedback would help me tailor these so they would be more understandable, so leave a comment.
Thank you.

  • Hello i am getting an oboe in about a week and are switching from trumpet ( i teach myself these things) and band director says i progress faster than normal people musically. Are there any tips i should know??

  • yeah you have a lot of work ahead of you. Good luck, watch my two vids and if you still have questions PM me. Personally I would switch to clarinet before trying oboe (it was a tough enough for me and I specialize in woodwinds)

  • oboes sound like ducks :) quack quack....so do clarinets sometimes:)... thats why i play bass clarinet, it sounds like a bigger duck when you squeek xD

  • i need help. i went to the store & i didn't realize that they gave me a hard reed. i just started today. can you help me? my mom won't spend more money to get a new reed. i think my head is going to explode off my body.

  • Here’s a song that you just need: G,A, and B, its called “Gently Sleep”. I cant give you the sheet music if you want. This video was very helpful.

  • Th-Thats a Jones reed! o_o

  • @decimal495 That happened to me when I started in sixth grade. Now if anyone says that, I flip out. lol, temper problems come with double reed instruments... JKLOL That's a stereotype! Kinda... But I'm in ninth grade (started in sixth grade), and now I don't sound like a duck. You'll randomly wake up one day and be good, and I'm not even kidding! XD

  • @GlossyMenthaShine We need more variety in bands and orchestras. Obes and Bassoons are some of the most scarce instruments.

  • @GlossyMenthaShine Wow! You totaly missed the whole purpose of music. It doesn't even sound like your passionate about music. It sounds like playing an instrument to you is just something to do when your bored. Why even play an instrument with an attitude like that.

  • do u even play the oboe?

    i hope ur better now
