Several videos of the London Ambulance Service BMW 5 Series supervisor's cars taken in March, 2011 during the demonstrations for the cuts. These BMWs will soon be replaced by 4X4 vehicles due to the recent snowy winters in London. Notice the Landrover at the end.

  • Why would this vehicle be unmarked, what is the reason for it not to have the standard markings on the side like most emergency services vehicles?

  • @smith34n Hi, see some of the very good comments below which address this issue. The supervisors contribute to the payments of this car and use them for personal use as well as for emergency use which is why they are unmarked.

  • was that the met police helicopter in the sky when looking at the rear of the BMW

  • @Aylesburyfire Yes indeed it was. This was taken during the demonstration against the Cuts and the Met Police had the helicopter out.

  • @dance2noise002 Read the comment at the top... and this is for an ambulance supervisor...

  • How much does the police force in London and area pay for these BMWs? They seem to have sooo many in their fleet?! Can someone explain ?

  • Don't like the rear lights of unmarked car as flash unequally/are not properly syncronised - should be wig wag or synch flash but they are somewhere between the two

  • @code3paris the supervisor himself owns the car however the ambulance service fit it with blues and twos and insure it as an emergency vehicle to allow him to respond without taking an rrv off general service. they do respond to 999 calls because the service is so busy and it alows them to respond on blues directly from home in the even of a national emergency :)

  • @Bigbadandgrizzley often supervisors respond to standard 999 calls, after all they are paramedics, because the ambulance service is just so busy now.

  • Nice car. I'd love to have it myself. Great catch.

  • I want that....

  • why was they there wot happend
