Installing the new Sag Harbor Cinema neon sign 10/15/2005. Brenda Siemer, led the $70,000 village campaign to restore theatre owners Jerry Mallow's sign, tied its conservation to the larger concept of small town preservation. "It's a central icon of the village, which isn't the Ralph Lauren center of East Hampton," Siemer said. "The sign is symbolic of the simplicity of sticking to what happened in 1938." The finished product of October 2005 consists of hand blown neon letters supported by a new rust repellent, heavy gauge aluminum. NOTE: Distorted audio in the music near the end is an artifact of YouTube and not present in the original video.
