  • holy shit this was amazing dude

what effect did you use to make the scene shake each time someone got punched?

  • @thatguy0987

just an expression on the position value in AE

  • how did u do the running scene ? did u guys use some kind of a stabilizer ?

  • @eisontv2

I was going to use CS5.5's warp stabilizer, but it would take hours to analyze and stabilize the footage.

The original footage wasn't that shaky since I was running with it on a tripod (folded up of course). What I did was I hand stabilized just the up-down motion since I had extra room to work with. The final video is 1920x900 and the camcorder films in the normal 1080 frame size.

  • that was fricken amazing ! what camera are you filming with, its amazing if you managed to keep a dslr in focus that whole time

  • @NHShaynne

    I'm filming with a camcorder, it's a Sony HDRCX550v.

Camcorders are better for fast moving/shakey shots because literally every DSLR out there is going to get a lot of motion skew.

But yeah, I'm eventually going to save up for a dslr, craving the big imaging sensor and the 500 times more manual freedom you get.

  • Thought the camera work was great! Fights aswell, maybe some scenes could of used a bit more polish but still great video!

  • Well done, Reno! Helpful tip: Try and keep the camera still. It's the reason why your fight scenes in Lord of the Flies and Julius Caesar are better than the ones in movies because they can't even hold it still. But, then again they do that on purpose.

  • Like not lime

  • Pause at 0:02 and it looks lime he like him touching his boobs

  • When I was 14 I was lucky to have a real VHSC camcorder (cause that was the layman technology then) to create goofy action videos such as this. That is video stored on crappy physical format like you see in 1950's computers. The way we edited was to rewind each take and record over it until we got the scene right, making the judgement via a 1.5" LCD screen. Now-a-days, you get it allllll...
