Wow, I'm just a HS freshman, but this is an example we would use in class of a pointless fluff story. Yeah, there will always be people goofing off instead of studying, but it's not every student was drinking and partying. In conclusion, you have violated the Journalistic yardstick of Newsworthiness and Fairness. It's sad when I know more than actual "professionals".

Also, if you notice. You interviewed six presumably frat boys at the shell beach. Look who is behind them? Nobody. Everyone else IS studying for finals. These DSP pieces of trash probably don't know how to read anyways. And if you notice, the name he gave you is KENNY POWERS from east bound and down. Way to go news crew.

wow lady, you could not be more degrading to our school really. Get a life. Cal Poly is one of the best schools in California and San Luis Obispo needs to respect that instead of bash on every little minute detail. Myself and the rest of CalPoly care about our success and despise people like you and the rest of the SLO that has no idea what CalPoly is really about.

I agree this is really offensive. There's a fine line between informative and degrading, and you've crossed it. Not only have you stereotyped our entire school by assuming that "instead of studying at the library, cal poly students are procrastinating..." (0:29), you also have assumed that college students all study at the library. I myself prefer not to study at the library, because I get more work done at home. Please make sure to leave your opinions at the door in future videos.
