Great review. Neverdead is the definitive archetype of wasted potential. The decent third-person action is generally fun -- slicing your sword into enemies acts as an ironic outlet of vengeance -- but the story is an incoherent mess, the dialogue is poetic puke and typically trash, and the controls are somewhat clunky. The nail in the coffin is the dismemberment mechanic, which is a cool idea, but really becomes a pain in the ass far too quickly as the gameplay descends into tedium.

pretty weird that when there's a game with good graphics,you can throw your head around and ur libs,u can't die and other awesome stuff, it sucks

I actually enjoyed Neverdead, so I don't care whether or not other people hated it. The gameplay felt like Devil May Cry 4, except you can't die.
