Nice review but a little lopsided to the Provari. Remember, with the Provari, you are removing and recharging IMR and storing IMR batteries which have a very high instantaneous current and absolutely no protection. If you short them out, they will burn up quickly. The Darwin's self-contained battery that also does vape & charge means you never have to handle dangerous lithium batteries.

These were good reviews, but pumping up the Provari based on safety features isn't entirely fair. The Darwin does have most of the same safety features as the Provari, the difference is that the Darwin uses internal batteries. These batteries can safely produce more power. So yes, you can set a LR carto really high safely. You might pop the carto, but the battery won't catch fire! The Provari needs to limit the current draw because of the battery! I agree though, both great devices!

where these came from? go back to ego looks!

The music is very distracting to your low voice level, need to turn it down or off.I had to quit listening.

I'm sure that you understand Ohm's law and simply made a little slip, but for the benefit of whoever is watching the video, if your atty/carto is firing at 2.9 ohms instead of 3.1 ohms, you will want to decrease the voltage to maintain the same amperage, not increase it. Remember, Ohm's law is:
Voltage (Volt) = Current (Ampere) x Resistance (Ohm) or V = I x R
I absolutely love your reviews and this one especially. I hope you keep making these videos.
Happy vaping!

The main thing is that you can't close darwin with anything bigger then atty or cart :)
@robdahlgren0506 @steeljan Actually, I prefer the Darwin. Mine see far more use than the Provari. I was actually trying to point out that I find some of those "safety" features to be limiting. While IMR batteries are unprotected, they are considered a 'safer' chemistry. I still don't like stacking, if I don't have to, protected, unprotected or IMR. To increase the voltage off the battery, they require the high drain variety.

Thanks, good overviews of both products.
Why does no one doing reviews show that the Darwin arm can be used in nearly 180 degrees of variable positions? In essence, you can put the arm at say 90 degrees and lay it flat on its back when not in use. It's a great tank platform when set that way.
The ability to adjust the arm angle also allows you to customize how you hold the PV, and which finger(s) you use to fire the button.

@Credo1970 Good point. I don't mention it directly, i guess I just kind of assumed from the seeing the motion that the variable positions is a given. It does work well sitting with a tank that way, i just prefer the on tubes, and not on the darwins where they keep me from turning the units off. I'm just OCD that way. :)

Nice review, am thinking of the Provari after using Ego-T and Riva style cigs for ages.
Do you work for NASA or just a fan?
Cheers

@GalaxyHorse Not for them directly, no :)
