This is wonderful 'poiesis' ('fashioning') on display. I'm reminded of Yeats' old refrain: "Irish poets, learn your trade. Sing whatever is well made." If I may paraphrase, "Irish painters, observe his trade! See, ye, what is newly made" Keep up this brilliant creative work, John, of diverting the sea through the mind and participating in the shaping of the Irish shore.
