7 minutes from a dive done in March 2006. The blue finned diver had just been certified a week before, and I myself have only got 3 or 4 times in the 13 years since I was certified at 14. Her weight belt was modified between day 1 and 2 of diving and she didn't notice, sank too quickly, and was weary of using her BCD because of equipment problems the day before (it got stuck inflating). She seemed to succomb to nitrogen narcosis in her panic and was eventually noticed by the Divemaster and taken up to our safety stop. Reviewing the video, it should've been clear to everyone, but I didn't realize myself due to my inexperience and excitement/worry about being down so deep. As it turns out, neither of us should've been allowed on this deep dive, but that's the way things go with 3rd world dive shops sometimes.

Thanks for viewing!

  • At the start of this clip you see what I presume is the death gauge but I can't make out how deep it's showing. Any ideas?

  • @charlie999 140 feet.

  • The sound we hear, is that audio you added to the video or recorded by the camera underwater?

  • Recorded by the camera!

  • @jobeus what certifications do you have you must be advanced to go 100 feet

  • @MrCoalie1 just "open water diver" .. I was unaware we were supposed to have a deep dive certificate before going deeper than 100 feet until well after the dive.

  • You blame third world dive shops? People should know their own limits and experience. Everyone is responsible for himself.

  • Wow! You must have some amazing buildings where you live with 100 foot ceilings...

  • yea sexydiver16 but there are sites with good dive stories on the net too. The myscubastory site has the best. They also have dive accident stories and videos; lost buddy stories and shark encounter videos. all of them are true life. Type myscubastory into google and its the first site.

  • Long year's divers say "Diving is a kind of sports and needs a lot of steady training" starting with good finning style. Diving industry says "Diving is fun and adventure, just change your money to a diver certification and you can be very proud to do all these exciting things". This is fucking damish! Almost no one in this video belongs into this surrounding!

  • woah! still not done watching yer vid but there are vertical posts down there! it's amazing, considering that's a sink hole..
