Blossom swung harder in microcosm than any band I know of did in macro----the smaller the microcosm was the harder and more perfectly she swung, as evinced by her recordings with only her own piano accompaniment. Those remain my favorite. Only analogous singers I know with similar power to move: Mel Torme, Eva Cassidy.

Blossom left us all dancing to the warm-hearted feelings she brought us.

Too bad she's not remembered as much as she deserves to be. What a great talent.

Blossom was a classically trained singer
but she was known her unique baby girl
voice.May she rest in peace.

This album has songs most of us never heard, and once heard, they become classic...I love this album.

This great album.(my first Dearie just a couple weeks ago) is so well balanced, well..it hits a groove in the middle of the album that just RULES! the choice of songs is THE BEST. And I believe it's her on piano...and if true...she's doing Bill Evans before Bill did it. This album is classic!
