-- Who did that? Not me. Prop 8 banned MARRIAGE, a legal right that same-sex couples had in California until the Mormons removed it by force.

All citizens should have the basic civil right of marriage. Not some made-up fake status like "civil union" or "domestic partnership". Marriage. Real, legal MARRIAGE.

You are not better than your neighbors, sfds. You do not deserve special rights that should be denied to them.

@hanohanonacowboy Gay marriage idea is rejected by California voters in Prop 8, you lost, so live with the result. You can't compare gay civil union with traditional marriage. If you want changes, start with a democratic process: vote and the majority wins.

@MrTrentiusMaximus The Church has a right to do all sorts of things, just as individuals have the right to disrespect their parents, to be selfish, to claim Jews have horns and to commit adultery.

Having the "right" to do something does not make it moral. Being free to do something does not mean being free from criticism for your actions.
