iPod Touch TomTom Car Kit Review - 7th Dec 2009

In this video, I pretty much give you an on-road usage perspective of this TomTom car kit. Overall, it performs well. Shame on the price though.

p.s. I didn't cover as much as I did on the iPhone car kit because this was literally the same thing but for the ipod touch.

do you need to download the gps app from appstore? or can you just use any gps app? the TOMTOM gps app is very expensive, it costs about 100 dollars.

@StreetFerrari yes you need to buy the app seperate. The car kit only comes with the cradle (hardware) - no software is included (I wish it was though at this price point!)

so let me get this straight.. i do not need a wifi connection at all when i have this connected. There are no subscriptions necessary and this gives you turn by turn directions with an external speaker :)? This sounds like a great device

so all i would need to buy is the adapter and the app from the appstore correct?

do i need a car kit to use tomtom for ipod touch? I have the TomTom Greece application but there is no gps signal. Can you help me? Thanks.

I'm using a iPod Touch 4g and will this work without wifi? I'm guessing the whole wire thing connects to a GPS signal to work without wifi. Please reply!!
