It freaked me out as well...but man, was I drawn to this book. I paid $1.95 for it back in 2nd grade. I loved it. 30 yrs later...looking for it everywhere and finally found it on amazon, selling for $80+.. WOW!

I just love this story! I had been trying to remember the title forever! And I finally found it in a list of old scary story books! And I found the links for the story on youtube! I am so happy because trying to remember the title was making my brain sizzle. By the way...did you know that this book is going for $75 on ebay?!

The part where all the kids are getting eaten creeped me out when I was a kid. Still, I wish kids books were still like this. So great.
