This year's Spring Meet yielded many live steamers, young and old, from all over Southern California. The meet turned out to be much better than the 2008 Spring Meet because the weather conditions were much better. Saturday was about the busiest, while Monday was kind of quiet. Overall, it was a great meet.

  • Wow greg looks pretty good up until the to old guys start pushing you up the hill. kinda like at Tom Millers. But is all fairness they were pushing to much. Engines SOUNDS GREAT. JB

  • Yeah, #2926 sounded great going up the Mountain Division, but the first time she tackled the grade, she stopped halfway up, and backed down. That created a really traffic jam. I thought he would take the crossover to Disney Junction on the second run, but he went at the Mountain Division again and managed to make it up the hill without stopping. It was really awesome seeing her pulling that many cars.

  • Haha, okay, now I understand. Richardson, Alkire, all the same to me...lol. "weekday workday anyone?!"

  • oh, and its in the Richardson shed... not Alkire.......

  • because Riversise Live Steamer's track is torn up because of a project that the city or BNSF or someone is doing, so a LALS member brought it to LALS for the owner to run during the meet but since thier club is shut down there is no rush to get it back because they have nowhere to run it....

  • Really? Then why, oh why, was it stored in Alkire?

  • 2926 is a locomotive from Riverside Live Steamers so its not staying at LALS for long...

  • I agree. Some of the best stack talk I've heard. Thanks!
