Maybe someone here can help. No matter what method i use, what os i use, when i connect the droid x in bootloader to my computer... nothing. Well thats a lie. My phone flashes "Transfer mode: USB" for a second then goes back to "connect data cable" ... PLEASE HELP!

i really need to do this but my computer is running Ubuntu, NOT windows. i can't get the rsd thing to open so i can use it. can someone help me out with this.
first time messing with my phone and i jacked it up, i need to get my phone straightened out. thanks in advance.

when i do this everything seems fine but it wont let me hit start button.
usb drivers reinstalled and rebooted, RSD lite shows to be connected.
any ideas?

UGGHH I did the whole process but when it reboots it still shows Liberty ROM logo and then is stuck flashing the liberty logo
