  • Seemed as though there was no inner lip in the corners of the case. I got the impression that you realised this as you were filming and tried to brush over it and ignore the fact?

Actually had dismissed this case previously but I might take another look after watching this video.

As a side note, it's really off putting to listen to your runny nose throughout!

  • some good points and thank you for replying, you are right about me noticing about the corners, however I was not brushing over it, if you noticed I was doing everything with one hand which I did mention including trying to put the laptop in the case. If my tripod had of extended higher I would have done things better my mistake. Also sorry that you felt repulsed about the runny nose, that was not actually the problem, a side effect to very strong medication and not really avoidable unless death

  • No offense meant - repulsed is a little strong lol. Perhaps I should revise that: I felt it was a little too close to the camera.

Re the corners; are they covered by the inner lip or would this be a potential issue with a naked macbook?

  • Yes mate they are covered by the inner lip, it was just they way I put the laptop in the case. The next video I upload I will show you the corners a bit better than I did in this video. The Laptop is completely protected I promise you that.

  • Hello my friend.

Great review on this product, it's very good to protect your products...

... But why would you put a hardcase on the macbook air, as i understand it adds a fair amount of weight and the weight is the reason, basically, for this product. As with the case it must weigh nearly the same as the more powerful and cheaper macbook.

I was just woundering, but great review as also mate. x

  • Excellent point Ryan and you are right in everything you say. The Speck does add a little bit of weight and bulk obviously, however if I bought a Macbook I would protect it in the same way obviously adding weight to that. For me protection is important. In terms of the power of the Air over the MacBook. You are right on this also but I have a MacBook for other uses the Air is just for writing and internet. Awesome points mate and I should have covered them in the video.

  • Would buy it if it had a pocket for the power adapter.

  • IsN'T it a bit of a overkill to use the speck together with the sleeve?? i was thinking of doing that initially.... but decided against it....
