Wavestation owners have often complained about the lack of a resonant filter in this synths voice architecture, but the effects section has a filter distortion effect with resonance that can be modulated by MIDI controller data. Not everyone knows how to do set this up, so we created a special patch for people who buy our Wavestations that makes good use of this feature and demonstrates the Wavestations ability to sound more like an analog synth. This patch is a useful starting point for creating your own patches with a similar filter effect. The patch on this particular A/D is located in RAM bank C, patch 49, and is entitled "hoover by TTI". The name Hoover refers to the classic analog synth sound used in many early 90s techno tracks, originally made on a Roland Alpha Juno synth. TTI, well, that's the abbreviation of our company name. :) This patch uses 2 filter effects. The modulation wheel is set up to sweep the cutoff frequency of the first filter and the aftertouch sweeps the cutoff of the 2nd filter. We programmed another variation of this patch (entitled "WavSeq by TTI") in RAM bank C, patch 48, that uses internal wavesequences along with a single filter effect controlled by the modulation wheel.

We are selling this particular Wavestation AD as well as an SR right now. - if anyone's interested, please email us at minime123 at onebox dot com.

  • Hi, can anyone tell me how to clock the wavestation without it retriggering the sequence? Do I have to filter note on/off in order for a sequencer to send omly clock. It would be helpful to keep wavesequences in time.

  • yo mini, please buy a good camera... you know you can afford it!! lots of love... and thanks for posting

  • That's pretty cool! Thanks for making this (and posting the link to the mailing list).
