Starman is dispatched from the Emerald Planet to save earth from the evil aliens. That is the setup for this extremely corny and chessey Japanese film. It's just one of those gems that is so bad it's good. Pop up some corn sit back and enjoy.

  • Gr8 late 50s/early 60s superhero fun.

Starman AKA Super-Giant was Japans first superhero. The creaters of Starman were heavily influenced by the George Reeves Superman which aired at about the same time..

The Emerald planet rulers and conference aliens are cool. So are the Starman flying scenes. I'd like to see a remake of this series and a upgraded Starman...

  • @crazeeborg Another related series that is also good fun is the Johnny Sokko Flying Robot from I beleive the same people.

  • Sounds like a winner we'll be waiting for the video of your costume.

  • incredible how they completely suspend disbelief, isn't it?

  • @diddymuck The same could be said about America in the 21st century.

  • Good japanese super hero watched when i was a kid and have been looking for this film. Thanks all.

  • @DAL1956e I'm with you on that.

  • @DAL1956e so have I

  • This is still better than 'Smallville.'

  • @SuperGamer87 It's called the suggestion box. Why did you ask?

  • @SDFFDGSSDFGSDGFDGSFD The cornier, the better! We came here on purpose. Why'd YOU come here?

  • O_O Geez! I remember the old days when we all had really really, REALLY long attention-spans! I'm sort of glad story-telling has sped-up. The opening scene of the 'Council' was pure art, though!

  • psy.opps..
