Both NY and CA have done a number on themselves in almost the same manner: increase taxes to the point that businesses leave the state and thereby lose tax revenue, but never reduce spending to account for this loss of tax revenue. Then wonder why you are facing a 10 trillion dollar short fall when budget time comes around....

I lived in California my entire life up to about 8 yrs ago. In my area of Cal (central coast) it wasn't immigration, it was the white mans game of workman comp and disability claims. Drugs were big, crank and coke. The treatment center and NA, AA meeting were a majority of whites. Everyone in Cal was looking for a free ride, Hispanics weren't the only ones working under the table or using Medical.

California was the richest and most successful state in the union, land was once cheap, wages were high and schools were among best,

But success is like a vacuum you draw in the good and the bad, the wanted and unwanted

The Federal Governments incompetence in the area of immigration has bankrupted this state,

Decisions made by unaffected politicians thousands of miles away put all this into motion

And yes the Fruit & Nut liberal policies didn't help ether

Ill give you examples

I work with half Hispanics all nice hard working, NONE pay for medical insurance,

If sick or injured theyll soak the state

One told me about stiffing a $140,000 medical bill; His friend who broke his leg falling off the border fence sneaking into the country recommended the hospital

Many have wives working under the table paying no taxes

3 kids in public school cost $27,000 dollars yearly

1 illegal in jail costs about $36,000 yearly

Yes California has been living rich, fat and happy for a long time. They have spent the money to protect the air, water and land. Now, we'll see how the state develops, as the unemployment rate climbs and services are cut in the schools and on the state level. They're had to be a better way California, I'm afraid you've screwed the goose here.
