  • @123MrsO "Killing ignorants" "You people"

You're right. We are doomed as it seems that you are one of the ignorant people. You don't see that u r, but u r.

  • @wobbledobbleish Hispanic refers to Hispania (Spain),just like how British refers to Britannia (Great Britain)

In mexico, the mexican identification is known as mestizaje aka mestizo (mixed) to refer to mexico's culture Native and Hispanic..

To identifty only as hispanic, one is denying their Native culture, since Hispanic is a EUROPEAN term.

You want to White, cause why else would you want to use EUROPEAN terms to identify yourself.

  • @1coolguysuper In my honest opinion, it is a very sloppy way to associate various Latin American cultures together as obviously physical characteristics vary, however, similar language also plays a role in 'race'. All in all, it is a mess but ultimately it's just a classification. If anything, accept it as that.

  • @1coolguysuper My mother and father are both Mexican with parents born in Mexico. You don't deny your heritage by calling yourself Hispanic. It's just a term of classification. You can still be Puerto Rican, Mexican, Cuban, etc. and celebrate your culture while being classified as Hispanic. Let's talk about what 'race' entails. It's generally attributed to physical characteristics and not nationality. You can be white or black and be Mexican. You can also be Hispanic and be Mexican.

  • @wobbledobbleish It has a new meaning but I (and many others) don't need to except it.

By excepting to call yourself hispanic, you automatically deny your native side (if your mix that is).

are you mixed race? Or are you a full native or a full caucasian?

  • @1coolguysuper I'm not trying to justify what the term has become. Just telling you that you should accept that it has a new meaning. Yes, God forbid we borrow terms from other countries. As for myself, I'm the second generation in my family born in America from Mexico. Nice to meet you.

  • @wobbledobbleish and that makes it right? or course not.

natives need to stop adapting European terms like"hispanic".

    Are you mexican? or what?

  • @1coolguysuper It's just a way for the US to put all Latin Americans in a melting pot. You're right about it's original usage but it's now developed into a homogenous social group derived from common surnames and languages. It is what it is.

  • @uxb67 Hispanics are from Ancient Spain (Hispania) dumbass, the island of Hispaniola was a slave port for the Spaniards.

Also,Latins are a ancient Italian tribe.

Today many people in Portugal,Spain,Italy, and Romania are not actual descendants of the old Latium tribe.

Also,if a black, asian or any non-caucasian person is born in Spain, then that person is also Hispanic, just like how any person could be british.

    Hispanic is NOT a race.

  • It is true. Shakira is an idiot.
