@sinnerswake But... she isn't considered to have co-written most of the tracks on Glassheart (the album) and she has recorded them and sung them. Co-write generally means an acutal input in the composition of the lyrics or music, there actually has to be some form of laying out of the song or something, not just choosing it.

How can you prove she doesn't know which notes sound good on a score in an order? I honestly don't think there is much you can prove...

@JustTooBlue Oh I don't want to sound pedantic but I'd put some research into what co-wrote means. Not literally but artistically. Co-wrote means listened to and said yes I like. I will sing your song because it sounds bloody brilliant for my voice. I have now co-written this song. The problem is she is not a musician. She does not know which notes, i.e. literally notes on a score sound good coming next. I just give up when she ok's a song that should not be touched. Unless for 'cash'

@Doogerie Wow... you devalue the term "butcher"... Music is art, and people can interpret art differently. Butchering is what the black eyed peas did to "the time"... that was absolute bull... Leona didn't try to completely deface a classic.

She did a fantastic job... She used her dynamics, vocal range and vibrato with good variety and contrast, technically she is better vocally than NIN or Johnny Cash. What you like is up to you, but saying that she butchered it is just ingnorant.

@sinnerswake Do some research... Leona co-wrote quite a bit over half of the songs of Echo inlcuding Happy, Naked, Can't Breathe and Don't let me down, all amazing songs... and she was involved in writing a couple of songs of Spirit, like Whatever it Takes. She also co-wrote Glassheart (the song), which is easily one of her best songs, which says a lot.

She hasn't written many songs on Glassheart, because Syco is possessive. She is an artist and a basically flawless singer.

@uoyebut131 No, she has people write music for her. She is not a musician, and if one thinks that this version of Hurt compares with Cash or Nine Inch Nails then that is their opinion and to be respected.
